In Forest Floor Basics, you and your friends hike into the woods to soak up the last few weeks of summer. You spot wildlife, hunt for bugs, pick flowers, and marvel at the beauty of the ground.
Forest Floor Basics is a roll and write game featuring 12 unique elements. Flies, worms, sprouts, leaves, frogs, and more all interact with one another in clever ways once drawn on your sheet.
Each round, players will resolve a round effect that boosts the development of their ecosystems. Perhaps worms will multiply; maybe a frog will hop around and eat some mor flies!
Next, each player selects a domino tile featuring two elements and adds it to their own personal forest floor. Placed elements seed further growth and must be carefully arranged to meet unique scoring conditions. Birds eat worms and like to be surrounded with enough sticks to make a nest. Water causes flowers to multiply. Many elements turn into soil when eaten or dampened. Sprouts take advantage of this decay, scoring a point for each adjacent soil!
The player who oversees the most diverse and vibrant section of forest wins!
Note: Forest Floor Basics is a lighter version of Forest Floor which includes 4 additional elements, and 2 new game modes.
