Across the far flung outer spiral arms of the galaxy, species are waking up to the possibilities of interstellar travel, and are expanding from system to system in a race for domination. By Exploring new sectors of space, Expanding your empire, Exploiting the resources in each system and Exterminating your opponent’s fleets, you can become the ruler of the galaxy.
Spiral Arm is a fully fledged yet tiny 4X game of Space Empires for 2-3 Players, consisting of 18 cards and a handful of small cubes.
The game is played on a modular board of cards spiraling out from the galactic core, forming the shape of the Galaxy to be conquered.
In order to dominate the galaxy, players can move ships from system to system, fight combats using a diceless mechanic, gather resources from the systems they control, develop new technologies, build new fleets and trade resources.
Requires 25 cubes in each of three colours – Red, Blue and Yellow, and one other cube for the turn tracker. If you don’t have enough cubes, don’t worry, a sheet of tokens to cut out is included as an alternative.
