It is like the very forest has gone mad – strange, forgotten chantings echo among a dense trees, awakening the most hideous mistakes of nature. The scaretales our ancestors told us to keep us out from the woods have become reality… and a menace from the woodlands is now approaching our village.
Woodland Rites is the first mini-expansion to The Lost Village, adding 9 new cards to the game and increasing the challenge.
5 new Monsters come from the among trees to wreak terror on the village, including the Forest Fiend that requires some forest expertise to defeat; the Wickerman that keeps returning until defeated; or the traitorous Dark Covenant that hide among the Heroes, waiting for the perfect moment to backstab them.
To counter these horrors, 4 new Heroes were added to the roster, including the fortune-telling Seer, the Herbalist with her healing herbs and thorn barriers, and the Possessed that means lethal threat to Monsters and villagers alike.
A copy of The Lost Village base game is required to play this mini-expansion.
